psychological therapies...for individuals

The Heath has a number of different therapists working within different therapeutic frameworks. Psychological therapies include:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)

Systemic psychotherapy

Interpersonal psychotherapy

Since every individual is unique and has different information processing preferences, the choice of therapeutic orientation will depend on the personality of the individual client.

"Right" and "Left-Brained' Approaches

The psychological therapies practiced by most clinicians tend to be 'left-brained' in their approach (i.e.analytical and rationally inclined) interventions. As such they work particularly well with rational and logical individuals, or people who are good at self-monitoring, and able to stick to a structured action-plan, such as gradual desensitisation.

They are less useful with more 'right-brained' conditions, i.e. where the individual already possesses insight into why they are behaving or feeling a certain way, but this insight of itself does not seem to make a difference. In such cases, more 'right-brained' (holistic, unconscious) forms of therapy are called for, such as clinical hypnosis or NLP .

Director Felix Economakis - working with individual clients

Felix has trained in many different models of therapy which allows him to draw from a wide base of knowledge, skills and resources.

The result is the ability to tailor the therapy to the needs of the client, and promote change from both psychological and physiological (mind and body) therapy interventions.

He employs a synthesis of therapy interventions, drawing from psychological models, philosophical counsellinghypnosis and NLP.
